Friends of the College of the Desert Library Book Group

The Book Group meets September through June from 1:30 - 3:00 at

the Friends of the COD Library Book Room  

Categories are selected for each month, everyone reads a different book in that genre, then discusses.

June 19, 2025 -- A cozy mystery

September 18, 2025 -- Bookstore or Bookshop in title

October 9, 2025 -- book written by South American author or about South America

November 13, 2025 -- Historical Fiction

December 18, 2025 -- A Holiday Book 

January 15, 2026 -- Book that was made into a movie

February 12, 2026 -- Love story, fiction or non-fiction

March 19, 2026 -- Book by an Asian author or about Asia (fiction or non-fiction)

April 9, 2026 -- Library or Librarian in title  

May 21, 2026 -- Autobiography or Biography

June 18, 2026 -- Mystery or Thriller

The group chooses a genre for each month rather than a specific book for all to read.  Each member reports on the book he or she has chosen.

The Book Group has been a very welcoming group so new people should feel free to come. We ask that you become a member of the Friends of the COD Library to participate.  Join us
